“The Folly of Rebelling Against God’s King”

2 Samuel 20:1-26 - Jerry Scheumann

In Sheba's rebellion against King David, we see a foreshadow of what will be the end of all who rebel against God's King, Jesus Christ.

“God’s Curse Upon Rebels to His King”

2 Samuel 18:1-18 - Jerry Scheumann

In David's victory over the armies of Absalom, and in Absalom's death, we see God's curse upon him. This story is typical of all that set themselves up against God's Kingdom and His King: all who oppose Christ and his reign will be brought low under God's judgment.
