God values unity in His people. One of the central effects of Christ’s death was to make the two men into one, so making peace. And yet, too often we do not value unity as we ought. Paul calls us to cultivate true Christian unity with one another by giving us Gospel incentives, explaining what true unity is, and calling us to the self-denial that is necessary for unity.’
