As David is hunted by Saul, we see David's faithfulness as God's Anointed One in contrast to King Saul. David demonstrates that he is the True Anointed by his great love, dependence upon God, and humility. In seeing David's faithfulness, we see a picture of the far greater King, the Son of David, and His great care for us.
