“The Great Gain of Godliness with Contentment”

1 Timothy 6:6-10  — Jerry Scheumann

Whereas the false teachers in Ephesus were teaching that godliness is a means of gain, we learn in the Gospel of Christ that godliness with contentment is a means of great gain. Christ is not a means to an end; he is to be the terminus and fulfillment of our joy and delight.
